  I just arrived in Peoria this week and found out Randy, your beloved son/brother had passed away.  I have so many fond memories of him and all of you on the Farm.  I was sad to hear of his passing, the loss of someone so deeply loved.  Please know that my heartfelt condolences and prayers go out to each of you and know he will always be remembered as one of the sweetest, most gentle individuals that I had ever had the opportunity to meet.  God Bless you all.  Love, Sandra Z

I was so taken back by the death of our friend, Randy. We loved Randy. He was a wonderful person. I remember him making a high chair for our grandchildren - He was so proud. He did excellent work with wood. We are so sorry Lorraine, because you loved him so much and tried to help him.

I just wanted to say how sorry I am Randy is not in your life physically any more but how full your hearts must be at what a wonderful man he was.  I always loved getting together with all the cousins and how he would make me laugh, when Sherry and I took off for Colorado the lecture he gave me on taking care of his baby sister and when David shot his foot with the shotgun how he took control of situation and got him back to house without panic, and how much empathy he had for the blind calf. He always was funny, caring, and so much fun. All of us cousin will truly miss him but we have our memories.

I remember the first time I saw Randy...the day he came home from the hospital...such a scrawny little guy with big beautiful blue-gray eyes....they were always one of his best features...always warm and friendly.  Randy was a trooper from the get-go...fearless & trusting & helpful.  He enjoyed the farm & I enjoyed him on the farm.  One picture I remember was Randy up in a tree like Tarazan...grinning for the camera.  Randy was my inspiration for going into speech therapy.  Barry remembers Randy's teenage enthusiasm upon taking him into D.C.  Randy's legacy will be his warm nature & sweet funny ways that we will remember him from growing up.

My deepest condolences.  May these few words from the Holy Scriptures bring you comfort in your time of grief...

John 11:32-45

32 And so Mary, when she arrived where Jesus was and caught sight of him, fell at his feet, saying to him: “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.” 33 Jesus, therefore, when he saw her weeping and the Jews that came with her weeping, groaned in the spirit and became troubled; 34 and he said: “Where have YOU laid him?” They said to him: “Lord, come and see.” 35 Jesus gave way to tears. 36 Therefore the Jews began to say: “See, what affection he used to have for him!” 37 But some of them said: “Was not this [man] that opened the eyes of the blind man able to prevent this one from dying?”

38 Hence Jesus, after groaning again within himself, came to the memorial tomb. It was, in fact, a cave, and a stone was lying against it.39 Jesus said: “TAKE the stone away.” Martha, the sister of the deceased, said to him: “Lord, by now he must smell, for it is four days.”40 Jesus said to her: “Did I not tell you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?” 41 Therefore they took the stone away. Now Jesus raised his eyes heavenward and said: “Father, I thank you that you have heard me. 42 True, I knew that you always hear me; but on account of the crowd standing around I spoke, in order that they might believe that you sent me forth.” 43 And when he had said these things, he cried out with a loud voice: “Laz´a·rus, come on out!” 44The [man] that had been dead came out with his feet and hands bound with wrappings, and his countenance was bound about with a cloth. Jesus said to them: “Loose him and let him go.”

45 Therefore many of the Jews that had come to Mary and that beheld what he did put faith in him;

Our heartfelt condolences to the family and friend of Randy,
We both went to school with Randy and enjoyed his passion for life and friends. We know his prensence will be deeply missed. We are holding you all deep in prayer during this time and pray for the Lords spirit will be with you all.
 

Aunt Lorraine, cousin John, and cousin Sherrie, my heartfelt condolences. 

I was lucky as a kid to have Randy in my life. Fishing, swimming, taking us kids out, working on cars (he showed me how to change my first spark plug), going to his baseball games ... He made an impression that I'll never forget and had a big impact on me becoming who I am.  Fun, full of life, and always ready with a smile for me, he was a great older cousin to a kid. He won't be forgotten.
